Andrea Chavez is an associate attorney at Lishman Law, where she practices exclusively in the area of family law. She is dedicated to helping individuals and families through emotionally complex legal matters with empathy, clarity, and strong advocacy.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, with minors in History and Mexican American Studies. Her academic background, combined with her lived experience, fuels her dedication to serving diverse communities with respect and cultural sensitivity. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Andrea is committed to ensuring every client she serves feels heard, understood, and empowered throughout the legal process.
Andrea earned her Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law in May 2022. During her time in law school, she was named to the Dean's List for academic excellence and was a proud member of The Scholar: St. Mary’s Law Review on Race and Social Justice, where she engaged in critical legal scholarship focused on issues impacting underrepresented communities. Her time with The Scholar deepened her commitment to justice, equity, and client-centered representation.
Andrea has a wide range of experience guiding clients in divorce, child custody, child support, and post-decree modification matters. She approaches each case with compassion and determination, always striving to achieve the best possible outcomes for her clients.
She enjoys spending time with family and is a proud dog-mom to Archie.
