Sarah Anne’s practice areas

Sarah Anne Lishman was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, where she graduated with honors from Communications Arts High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Eastern New Mexico University in 2005, majoring in History and minoring in English. After obtaining her undergraduate degree, she returned to San Antonio and attended St. Mary’s University School of Law.

While in law school, Sarah Anne was an officer of the Women’s Law Association and helped raise thousands of dollars for local non-profits. She was frequently recognized for her academic achievements, and was consistently named on the Dean’s List. She was also a staff writer for the St. Mary’s University Law Journal, which published her comment in 2013.

Following law school, Sarah Anne worked in several law firms handling a high volume of primarily family law matters, as well as consumer protection and other civil litigation cases. She handles jury trials and appellate matters.

She is board certified in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and is licensed to practice law in Texas and in federal court for the Western District of Texas.

The achievements she is most proud of are her two beautiful children, Frank and Chloe Jane.

Caroline Hulett

Senior Attorney

Caroline was raised in Hondo, Texas. She attended college at the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in History in 2005. Caroline graduated from law school from St. Mary’s School of Law. While at St. Mary’s, she was a member of Phi Delta Phi Honors Legal Fraternity and a staff writer for the St. Mary’s Law Journal. Caroline graduated in the top 11% of her class.

Caroline has been practicing family law since 2010 and has represented clients in almost every area of family law, including: divorces (ranging from simple uncontested divorces to high net worth complex divorce cases), paternity matters, collaborative law, child custody, child support, modifications, enforcement of child support, enforcement of possession and access, grandparent’s access, prenuptial agreements, and terminations and adoptions.  Although Caroline’s primary practice has been at the trial court level, she has worked on family law appeals and has represented clients in oral arguments before the Fourth Court of Appeals. 

In addition to family law, Caroline also has extensive experience in estate planning, probate, and real estate cases ranging from simple to complex. Additionally, Caroline has experience representing public housing authorities and has represented numerous housing authorities advised housing authorities in various matters, including evictions, open meetings, open records, personnel matters, Housing and Urban Development regulations, Texas Local Government Code compliance, and Fair Housing matters.

Caroline’s approach to handling family law matters is to provide the client with a clear understanding of the process and law so that clients can make the most informed decision.

Caroline is a member of the Texas State Bar Association, Texas Young Lawyers Association and the Family Law section of the San Antonio Bar Association. Caroline is an avid lover of all types of animals, especially horses and dogs, and has two dogs- Oliver Wendell Hulett and Betty Sue.

Avery Tucker

Associate Attorney
Avery Tucker is an Associate Attorney at Lishman Law, where she practices exclusively in the area of family law. She is committed to helping clients navigate some of life’s most challenging and emotional moments with steady guidance, practical solutions, and a deep understanding of what’s at stake for families.
 
She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing with a minor in Legal Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she graduated cum laude in 2019. Her background in business and legal studies provides a well-rounded foundation for understanding both the personal and financial complexities often involved in family law matters. 
 
Avery earned her Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law in May 2022. During law school, she served as Comments Editor for The Scholar: St. Mary’s Law Review on Race and Social Justice and gained hands-on experience as a student attorney in the law school’s family law clinic. 
 
Before joining Lishman Law, Avery focused her practice on family law, representing clients in a wide range of matters including divorce, child custody, enforcements, modifications, and appeals. She also practiced oil and gas law, which gave her a unique understanding of complex property issues—insight she brings to family law cases involving property and asset division and property characterization. She was named to Scene in S.A. Magazine’s 2023 lists of “Best S.A. Lawyers” and “Outstanding Women in Law.” In 2024, she co-authored a published article for the 70th Annual Natural Resources and Energy Law Institute.
 
In her free time, you can find Avery spending time outside with her husband, son, and their three dogs.

Andrea Chavez

Associate Attorney
Andrea Chavez is an associate attorney at Lishman Law, where she practices exclusively in the area of family law. She is dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate emotionally challenging legal matters with empathy, clarity, and strong advocacy.
 
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, with minors in History and Mexican American Studies. Her academic background, combined with her lived experience, fuels her dedication to serving diverse communities with respect and cultural sensitivity. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Andrea is committed to ensuring every client she serves feels heard, understood, and empowered throughout the legal process. 
 

Andrea earned her Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law in May 2022. During her time in law school, she was named to the Dean’s List for academic excellence  and was  a proud member of The Scholar: St. Mary’s Law Review on Race and Social Justice, where she engaged in critical legal scholarship focused on issues impacting underrepresented communities. Her time with The Scholar deepened her commitment to justice, equity, and client-centered representation.

Andrea has a wide range of experience guiding clients in divorce, child custody, child support, and post-decree modification matters. She approaches each case with compassion and determination, always striving to achieve the best possible outcomes for her clients.

 
She enjoys spending time with family, and is a proud dog-mom to Archie.

Veronica Tyree

Senior Paralegal to Ms. Lishman and Ms. Chavez

Veronica hails from El Paso, Texas, where she earned 20 years of experience in the legal services industry.  She previously worked with board certified family law attorneys, developing a strong “muscle memory” for divorce and child custody matters. She is committed to delivering
meticulous work with a proven track record of reliability and organization.

Veronica earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English & Sociology from the University of Texas, El Paso.  She joined Lishman Law, PLLC in June of 2024 as our senior paralegal.

She is fluent in Spanish, an avid dog-lover, and enjoys spending time with her family.

Isabel Mazariegos

Isabel Mazariegos

Paralegal to Ms. Hulett and Ms. Tucker

Isabel is a valuable member of the Lishman Law team, bringing ample experience in the areas of administrative assistance and legal support.

She graduated from Northern Virginia Community College with her Associate of Applied Science in paralegal studies, and is currently working on her B.A. in multidisciplinary studies at the University of Texas in San Antonio.  

Isabel balances a strong work ethic and commitment to operational efficiency with her compassion and empathy for our clients. 

She is also fluent in Spanish.

Sarah Anne is also a certified mediator, and in that capacity she helps families broker settlements.
