Sarah Anne Lishman was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, where she graduated with honors from Communications Arts High School. She earned a bachelor's degree from Eastern New Mexico University in 2005, majoring in History and minoring in English. After obtaining her undergraduate degree, she returned to San Antonio and attended St. Mary's University School of Law.
While in law school, Sarah Anne was an officer of the Women's Law Association and helped raise thousands of dollars for local non-profits. She was frequently recognized for her academic achievements, and was consistently named on the Dean's List. She was also a staff writer for the St. Mary's University Law Journal, which published her comment in 2013.
Following law school, Sarah Anne worked in several law firms handling a high volume of primarily family law matters, as well as consumer protection and other civil litigation cases. She handles jury trials and appellate matters.
She is licensed to practice law in Texas and in federal court for the Western District of Texas.
The achievements she is most proud of are her two beautiful children, Frank and Chloe Jane.
I am passionate about the law and love taking on challenging legal issues. I try to find creative solutions in even the most difficult of cases. I am committed to ensuring my clients understand the options available to them, and will guide them through their case with quality, professional legal services and prudent advise.
In matters involving children, I am committed to keeping their well-being and best interest as the paramount consideration at every stage of the case.
I strongly endorse and encourage the use of alternate dispute resolution, especially when children are involved. I have ample experience representing clients in successful mediations and informal settlement negotiations. I am also a certified mediator, and in that capacity I help families broker settlements.
Sarah Anne practices family law in San Antonio, Boerne, and the Texas Hill Country.
I understand that hiring an attorney for a divorce or child custody matter can be an unexpected expense, placing additional stress on families during an already- traumatic time. For that reason, I am always striving to give my clients the most value for their money.
